A northern Toronto native, Harrison Lenz is a singer songwriter with a focus on storytelling, drawing inspiration from the far reaches of the Canadian countryside, from the wide, open plains of Alberta and Saskatchewan, to the small fishing villages of Nova Scotia. A student of the illustrious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Harrison has spent years honing his own craft while also working with songwriters from all walks of life. His main mission? To find a way to mix both poetry and the raw grit of real life together into endearing, memorable storytelling based compositions. He always makes an emphasis on drawing inspiration from some of Canada’s most respected songwriters, including Stan Rogers, Gordon Lightfoot, and Neil Young. When he’s not writing or performing, you can find Harrison taking part in Toronto’s recording and production scene, working with renowned Canadian artists. From the loud and boisterous tones of Billy Talent, to the boundary pushing, intricate tracks of Tanya Tagaq, Harrison keeps an open mind when approaching projects from a slew of different genres. He also makes sure to make time to work with smaller, up-andcoming talent out of his home studio in North Toronto, finding a balance between commercial and indie projects.
